Gergeti-Georgia
ON THE ROAD TO GERGETI
The Russia-Georgia Monument, also known as the "Friendship Monument," was constructed in 1983 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the “enduring” friendship between Soviet Russia and Soviet Georgia.
It is situated along Military Road, which is one of the primary routes connecting Moscow and Tbilisi. The monument stands atop a 600-meter cliff, providing a breathtaking view of Georgia's "Devil Valley" and the Caucasus Mountains. Despite its beauty, the monument feels eerie, given Georgia's complicated history with Russia and the former USSR. Including the 2008 conflict and current tensions, as well as the ongoing war in Ukraine and the mass immigration of Russians fleeing conscription.

GaumarjoS!
THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE GEORGIAN PEOPLE ALL LAY AT THE BOTTOM OF A QUAVRI (A CLAY EGG-SHAPED VESEL NOT DISIMILAR TO THE ITALIAN AMPHORA)
Georgia — The Cradle of Wstrongly claims to be the oldest wine-making region in the world, with evidence dating back 8,000 years. Although there are disputes with countries like Armenia and Lebanon, Georgia has never abandoned its wine-making tradition.
sighnaghi
Sighnaghi labelled the city of loooove, and when I say love, I mean wine… lots and lots of wine. Several cellar doors are packed into the centre of the town, all within easy walking (or stumbling) distance of each other.
With some heavy hitters in the natural wine world, like Pheasant's Tears, you've got your less-known but just as delicious and oh-so-generously poured wine flights. Each cellar has just as scrumptious, often family-cooked food to line your stomach. While your usual Georgian car boot, wine sale wheelers and dealers are few and far between in Sighnaghi, and although there is a time and a place, this accent town exudes quality and charm, nestled atop a bluff overlooking KakKakhati'sazani Valley, one of Georgia's most famous wine-producing regions.
KUTAISI
One of the oldest cities in the world with many of its churches build in the 12th,13th and 14th centre… I know right.. mind blown? I’m certainly a believer, but there is something magnetic and humbling being in a space that carries so much history. Gerogia was in fact on of the earliest regains to adopt Orthodox Christianity being brought over in the 4th centre by Saint Nino from Cappadocia Turkey, then the Kingdom of Iberia.
